In early 2024 we completed a bathroom renovation for a client with mobility issues. We installed a new shower system with multiple shower heads and handhelds, several grab bars, and a bench. The end result is a beautiful, more accessible, user friendly, experience for our clients! As part of our “5 & 500 Program” a donation was made to the American Parkinson Disease Association!

APDA is a nationwide network dedicated to fighting Parkinson’s disease (PD) and works tirelessly to help the approximately one million with PD in the United States live life to the fullest in the face of this chronic, neurological disorder. APDA has raised and invested more than $282 million to provide outstanding patient services and educational programs, elevate public awareness about the disease, and support research designed to unlock the mysteries of PD and ultimately put an end to this disease.

Another referral.....another donation to charity! Thanks to Ben Hutchison for referring a client to Custom Cut Renovations. We recently completed the work and Ben suggested the Weiss Scholarship Foundation as the recipient of his charitable donation.

The Weiss Scholarship Foundation’s mission is to empower children in Kenya with the gift of education while they work to build a world where every child gets a great education. They do this by providing scholarships so that local Kenyan teenagers can attend high school......giving them a chance at a brighter future!

Any small business knows that referrals are the fuel that keeps the engine running. Custom Cut Renovations is no different. Anytime someone refers a new client to us, we make a donation to the charity of their choice!

Our latest referral comes from Erin Clemons. She recently referred one of her colleagues to Custom Cut who needed the inside of their home painted. We were happy to provide the client with a new look as part of a larger home renovation!

In return, we made a donation to the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance to support the ongoing relief efforts in Ukraine. "Thank You", Erin, for your referral!

Custom Cut Owner, Jeff Hartman, has served on the board of the CareLink Foundation for several years. CareLink exists to reduce human suffering in developing countries by providing families with access to micro-finance loans. The CareLink Foundation has provided nearly 70 microfinance loans to entrepreneurs in Hondruras and is currently expanding to Belize.

As a small business owner, Jeff knows that small businesses and capitalism can be a force for good. Jeff believes that “if you give someone a fish, they eat for a day…if you teach someone to fish, they eat for a lifetime”; and microfinance lending provides a tool (capital) to help entrepreneurs fish!

Another referral, another donation to charity! Breanne Kennedy, owner of Bre’s Bulldogs and Buddies, referred one of her clients to Custom Cut Renovations. They were in need of new hardwood floors and we delivered!

Recently, Sarah Bliss McGinnis referred a client to Custom Cut Renovations. She asked that her referral donation be made to the American Heart Association in support of a fundraiser for Grace Dudich, a beautiful young girl who passed away suddenly of a heart condition.

Recently, Jeff Hild, a broker at John Greene Realtor, referred a new client to Custom Cut. He asked that we direct his referral donation to Knox Presbyterian Church's ManKIND Men's Ministry.

One of the many worthwhile missions of ManKIND is its partnership with Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans. ManKIND purchases and delivers dozens of beds and bedding yearly to local veterans.
